Working with Me

I'm open to research collaborations and internship mentoring for highly motivated individuals who are excited about embodied AI and robotics research.

For students interested in the Research/Engineer Intern role at AIRoA, please apply through the official openings on the Careers page. The internship provides the opportunity to work with an international and cross-functional team on large-scale robotic data curation and cutting-edge VLA research.

Potential themes include:

  • Transferring human skills to robots to improve the efficiency of data collection and robot learning
  • Dexterous manipulation and control
  • Vision systems (e.g., SLAM) for handheld gripper-based data collection (UMI)
  • 3D pose/shape modeling and reconstruction for robotic simulation
  • Leverage LLMs/VLMs for robotic data curation (e.g., automatic action annotation)
  • VLA and world modeling

Over the past years, students and collaborators I mentored have published their research findings at major conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICLR, WACV. Many of these projects grew from small exploratory ideas into full research contributions. If you enjoy building things from scratch, you will likely fit well! Feel free to contact me!
